The restaurant

Make yourself at home.

AMADES is set within a historic building on Carrer dels Banys Nous, in Barcelona’s old town. From the bar by the entrance to the dining rooms downstairs and upstairs, each space has its own atmosphere, shaped by the building’s original features and the everyday life of the restaurant.

The bar

At the heart of it all.

Our bar is at the centre of life at AMADES. Lively and welcoming, it’s a place for a glass of wine, a cocktail or a few plates to share, with the atmosphere of the restaurant all around.

Under the staircase

A little more intimate.

Beneath our wooden staircase, a beautiful old stone wall, soft lighting and a few cosy tables create a more intimate setting. With tables for two, it’s one of the most charming corners of AMADES.

Back dining room

Closer to the kitchen.

Right beside the kitchen, our back dining room is one of the liveliest parts of AMADES. With its welcoming atmosphere and comfortable seating, it’s a great place for friends, families and groups to get together over good food.

Upstairs dining room

Room to come together.

Upstairs is our main dining room, with exposed brick, original wooden beams and a long red banquette. It’s a lively space for families, friends and larger groups, and can also be reserved for private dining and special occasions.

The details

The beauty of the original.

Part of what makes AMADES special is what was already here. Preserving the building’s original features has always been important to us. The textures, materials and architectural details are an essential part of the restaurant’s atmosphere, bringing together its past and present.
